National Salesperson Day is observed on the first Friday of every March. This year it will be celebrated on March 2nd. National Salesperson Day is dedicated to all the sales persons around the world. Salespersons are one of the significant parts of an organisation. National Salesperson Day is created to honour and appreciate the dedication and hard work of the professional salesperson. Salespersons are the ones who recognise the needs of the customers when the customers themselves don’t even know what they want.

Sales are contingent upon the attitude of the salesman – not the attitude of the prospect.” – W. Clement Stone.

History of National Salesperson Day

National Salesperson Day was founded in March 2000 by Maura Schreier-Fleming, the President of Best@Selling; she is an author,  speaker, and advisor for salesperson training. An excellent and professional salesperson will know everything about his or her product. Whenever a new product is launched, all the salesperson’s selling that product will study about that product to explain about the product to the customer. When a customer has a question, the salesperson must have an answer for it or at least he/she should know to direct that customer to that right person of the organization who knows the answer. A salesperson has a tough job, and he/she work hard on her/his feet all day. Some salesperson needs to travel several hundred miles to see customers. Salesperson Day is dedicated to all these tremendous professional salespeople.
