Initially, some of the peoples referred February 14 as Singles Awareness Day, until they realized that it was depressing. So they chose the next day after Valentine’s Day to change the day from the festival of self-pity into a celebration. Being Single also has few benefits. The single peoples can come and go anywhere without the regard to partner’s schedule, needs or wants. They even don’t need to consult a spouse before accepting an offer in their career, and the peoples who are single also tend to be self-reliant persons. Hence Single Awareness Day is a perfect day for the single people to stand proudly and show that it is okay to be a single.
