Passive Voice.

Present Simple

1. Many people attend he lecture. – The lecture is attended by many people.
2. People speak English in many countries. – English is spoken by many people in many countries.
3. They make Volkswagen cars in Germany. – Volkswagen cars are made in Germany.
4. A postman collects the mail twice a day. – The mail is collected by a postman twice a day.
5. Mum decorates the kitchen every year. – The kitchen is decorated by Mum every year.
6. Tourists photograph lots of monuments. – Lots of monuments are photographed by tourists.
7. Millions people watch this TV programme. – This TV programme is watched by millions of people.
8. They grow bananas in Africa. – Bananas are grown in Africa.
9. They make jackets of cotton. – Jackets are made of cotton.
10. The sun attracts the planets. – The planets are attracted with the sun.
11. They invite me to different parties. – I am invited to different parties.
12. They usually write business letters on special forms. – Business letters are usually written on special forms.

Past Simple. 

1. Alexander Bell invented the telephone in 1876. – The telephone was invented by Alexander Bell in 1876.
2. The Chinese invented paper. – The paper was invented by the Chinese.
3. They invented photography in the 1840s. – Photography was invented in the 1840s.
4. The French government gave the Statue of Liberty to the American people. – The Statue of Liberty was given to the American people by the French government.
5. Shah Jahan built The Taj Mahal for his wife. – The Taj Mahal  was built by Shah Jahan for his wife.
6. Columbus discovered America. – America was discovered by Columbus.
7. Fleming discovered penicillin. – Penicillin was discovered by Fleming.
8. They talked much about that problem – That problem was much talked about.
9. Tourists photographed lots of monuments. – Lots of monuments were photographed by tourists.
10. Last night someone broke into the house. – Last night the house was broken into.
11. They sent for a doctor. – The doctor was sent for.
12. A pickpocket robbed my sister. – My sister was robbed by a pickpocket.
13. They built the Eiffel Tower in 1889. – The Eiffel Tower was built in 1889.
14. They wrote the Declaration of the Rights of Man in 1789. – The Declaration of the Rights of Man was written in 1789.

Future:
